Idea 1: Twilight Zone
An installation that can be entered and gives the audience the idea of entering a place of memories, stored in your brain. It gives of a kind of "twilight zone" feeling, where you're in between worlds, since memories are real but often distorted, incomplete and subjective. Thus, a place between real and fake.

The installation could be made interactive by giving the audience wires, letting them connect certain objects of their own contribution. They can tie the wires in any way they want, crossing the whole installation, making the installation chaotic, unenterable, or very organised.

Audience should be given a kind of prop with which they can contribute to the installation.
- What is the goal of the installation?

- What are we trying to tell the audience?

- How can we make clear that the installation is about the violence of absence, not just about memories?
Idea 2: A robe full of memories
A robe is something you wear on your own back, carrying it with you. The end of the robe are the oldest memories, the beginning, on the shoulders, the most recent. the end of the robe is frayed and worn down, symbolising the decay and the distortion of memories when time has passed.

Installation setup: the robe would be displayed on a mannequin. It won't be done, so at the shoulders there could be needle and thread hanging. On the background there could be a video playing, showing the process of the making of the robe.
